After Luton’s close victory, Victor Lindelof identifies the areas where Manchester United has to improve.

On Saturday afternoon, Man United defeated Luton 1-0 in the Premier League. Victor Lindelof scored the game’s winning goal.

After scoring goals in games last season, Victor Lindelof believes Manchester United needs to improve their game management skills.

Prior to the international break, United faced relegation hopefuls Luton on Saturday afternoon and needed three points. They got off to a great start, controlling the ball and generating opportunities.

Rasmus Hojlund missed two excellent chances to break the deadlock against Luton, who were difficult to break down. However, a breakthrough came just before the hour mark when Lindelof struck the back of the net with a strong effort.

The striker was the first player to speak after the victory and delivered Lindelof his first goal since December 2020.

According to Lindelof, “I don’t score that many goals, but it’s always fun to help the team and today it was the matchwinner,” Optus Sport was informed.

“Getting the three points was crucial, and we did that today. In the first half, I believe we performed well. We were patient, we generated some decent opportunities, and we kept the ball.

“The levels kind of went down after we scored the goal, and I believe that’s what we need to work on in order to maintain control of the game even after we score.

“I think it’s all about getting the results, we got the win today, we have to stick together, do our thing and play better in the future.”

“It’s not ideal when you have injuries, but hopefully it’s not too bad with them two, we’ll have to wait and see,” Lindelof said in response to a question regarding Christian Eriksen and Hojlund leaving with injuries.
