Amidst demands from Man Utd supporters, Facundo Pellistri has complied with Erik ten Hag’s request.

Facundo Pellistri, a winger for Manchester United, has already complied with manager Erik ten Hag’s orders despite pleas from fans for him to play more often at Old Trafford.

Currently, United’s first team roster has a number of wide players, however several of them have missed time over the season due to various circumstances.

By the end of September, Pellistri was the only available right-sided winger for United, as Jadon Sancho and Antony were not playing for the first team and Amad Diallo was still recovering from a knee injury.

Ten Hag appears to have chosen the Uruguayan to start three games in that month primarily out of need—the 21-year-old has only made one appearance for United since a 1-0 loss to Crystal Palace on September 30.

The Dutchman has been urged by United supporters to start Pellistri more frequently, particularly in light of Antony’s dismal play since rejoining the first team.

In 12 games this season, the former Ajax winger has failed to score or assist, and fans want to see Pellistri given another opportunity.

Prior to the Uruguayan winger’s most recent start versus Palace, Premier League Productions asked Ten Hag to outline his expectations for the player during the match (quotes via Manchester Evening News): “A little bit like when he made an appearance in the last game.

“He can move quickly and is a skilled dribbler. He is dependable, and maybe he can convert his threat into goals and assists.”

When Pellistri entered the game as a 28-minute replacement earlier this month in a 1-0 victory against Fulham, he undoubtedly crossed off the latter option.

He took Antony’s place on the right flank of attack, sent the ball back to the captain Bruno Fernandes, and the Portugal international scored to give United a much-needed victory.

Additionally, he started Uruguay’s 3-0 victory over Brazil while on international duty, and on the fifteenth minute, he assisted Darwin Nunez’s opening goal.

With his most recent performances, Pellistri has given a clear message to Ten Hag ahead of United’s Premier League matchup against Everton on Sunday.
