BREAKING: 4 times champions league winner manager approached for Man United job as major Erik Ten Hag replacement
Carlo Ancelotti has apparently been contacted by Manchester United about the managerial position.
According to journalist Benjamin Lopez from El Chiringuito, Ancelotti has received multiple offers including the Brazilian national team.
The 64-year-old Italian is in the final year of his contract with Real Madrid and it remains to be seen whether he decides to sign an extension with them.
He might turn out to be Manchester United’s greatest acquisition. The Italian has managed Chelsea and Everton in England in the past. Whether he would accept another challenge at Old Trafford is still to be determined.
Erik ten Hag was brought in by the Red Devils to try and turn around Manchester United. The team hasn’t performed well this season, despite the Dutchman’s outstanding performance the previous one.
Despite making large transfers in the transfer market, the Red Devils are now tenth in the league standings.
Should the situation not rapidly improve, it wouldn’t be shocking if the club administration chose to sever ties with the Dutch manager. The best course of action in that situation might be to select a seasoned manager like Ancelotti.
The Italian might help stabilise things at Old Trafford because he is familiar with the Premier League. It will be interesting to watch how things work out in the next weeks.
