Manchester United

Euro giants set up a mouthwatering double deal as Sancho and Van de Beek go closer to leaving Manchester United.

In the forthcoming transfer window, Juventus is eager to sign both Man Utd’s Jadon Sancho and Donny Van de Beek, as TEAMtalk can confirm.

Manchester United will have a busy January as a number of players are expected to leave the team due to reforms implemented by new part-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe.

One player who could be part of Juventus’ double swoop is Sancho, who is leaving the team. Even though he still has a little over two and a half years left on his deal, his time at Old Trafford is all but done due to his highly publicized falling out with Erik ten Hag.

The 23-time England international is a target for the Bianconeri, who are also reportedly considering a transfer for Van van Beek, a midfielder for United.

The Dutchman, who has underperformed and had a bad run at Old Trafford, has been told he can leave. After spending £40 million to join Manchester United from Ajax in 2020, the 26-year-old’s current contract there expires in 2026.

Real Sociedad and the Red Devils had discussions about a transfer last summer, and the deal nearly fell through at the last minute due to the inability of the parties to come to an understanding. The discussions broke down because United demanded a complete sale, despite the Spanish side’s insistence on a loan-to-buy deal.

Now that the Spanish team was unable to complete the deal, Juventus is eager to do so and plans to do so in January. At this point, it might be easier for the Premier League team to accept a loan with conditions.

Juventus will test United’s resolve.

Although his asking price is unknown, rumors have it that he will take a modest cut because of his history of injuries and inconsistent performance. Just three and a half years ago, United gave Ajax an initial £35 million for the 26-year-old, but they will not get nearly that back due to his departure.

In that time, the Netherlands international has only made 62 appearances, and his worth has drastically decreased. With Sancho high on their wish list for the winter window, this will provide the Serie A team the opportunity to potentially make a double swoop.

But United is keen that Sancho be sold in its entirety since, following his altercation with Ten Hag, he is no longer needed. He is training exclusively by himself and isn’t permitted to participate in any activities with the first team, not even for off-field tasks like lunch.

Juventus will probably use Sancho’s signing, which cost just over £30 million, as leverage to negotiate Van van Beek’s loan move and pull off a double swoop in the upcoming days and weeks.
