Following Bayern Munich’s defeat, Man United’s Erik ten Hag sack plans were made public.

A report claims that Manchester United has decided to replace Erik ten Hag in the midst of their poor form.

After losing 1-0 at home to Bayern Munich in the Champions League on Tuesday, Man United was eliminated from Europe altogether, costing them £28 million.

Ten Hag’s team has now lost three straight games after losing badly to Bournemouth 3-0 at home the previous Saturday.

Having met with a manager prior to his unexpected appointment at Old Trafford, incoming investor Sir Jim Ratcliffe has put the 53-year-old, who was appointed in April 2022, under pressure.

The Sun claims that Ratcliffe has met with Graham Potter and has given him the go-ahead to succeed the Dutchman in the event of a dismissal.

Potter hasn’t had a job since his April departure from Chelsea. He is still available despite being connected to the positions at Nice and Rangers at the time.

The 48-year-old first gained notoriety at Brighton, when he performed managerial miracles, leading the team to their then-highest Premier League result of ninth place at the end of the season.

Ratcliffe wanted the English boss at Nice since he is a big fan of his.

On Sunday, when Man United resumes their league season against Liverpool, Ten Hag will face yet another difficult task.

After losing to the German powerhouses, he will be looking for a reaction.

“The team did very well, we were very good defensively and in the pressing,” he stated following the European setback. We regained the ball a lot, particularly in the second half. However, because we were up against a formidable opponent, we didn’t capitalize on it adequately.

Bayern always has enough individual class, even when they are not playing, to create a single moment, and that is exactly what transpired.

“We are aware that we ought to be more reliable. As a manager, it is my obligation to guide, assist, and enhance the team. It is also the players’ responsibility to accept responsibility.

“We have to do that together.”
