I adore Man United but … – Good news for fans as Antoine Griezmann responds to Man United transfer speculation as he makes final decision

Antoine Griezmann has again been linked with a transfer to Manchester United

Antoine Griezmann has downplayed rumors that he could be joining Manchester United in a spectacular January deal.

During Jose Mourinho’s tenure, the seasoned France international came dangerously close to joining Old Trafford, but he ultimately chose to leave Atletico Madrid for Barcelona.

After a terrible two years at Camp Nou, Griezmann returned to Atletico Madrid, where he revitalized his career and became an indispensable member of Diego Simeone’s revamped squad.

In January, United, on the other hand, want to bolster their offensive line with a seasoned and adaptable player who can relieve some of Rasmus Hojlund’s workload.

Despite having scored five goals in Europe, the £72 million summer acquisition from Atalanta still needs to score in nine Premier League games to earn his first goal.

Despite the expected arrival of Sir Jim Ratcliffe and the monetary infusion the new investor will offer, Ten Hag is probably going to be operating with a similarly constrained budget when the window reopens. Last January, United replaced Cristiano Ronaldo with Wout Weghoff on loan.

Despite being linked to a move to England once more, Griezmann seems to have little interest of leaving Atletico midseason and is dedicated to the Spanish team, at least until the summer.

“I have to earn myself to be a legend in this club,” he said to Marca. That is my goal.

“I want to win some titles for Atlético and make the fans happy by 2024.” It would only be a fantasy.

Ten Hag, meanwhile, downplayed the idea that he and Griezmann’s former France teammate Raphael Varane are no longer on the same page. Varane has been linked to a transfer to Bayern Munich after missing out to Harry Maguire for the United team.

I have no idea what you’re talking about, Ten Hag remarked prior to Sunday’s matchup with Everton. When you have to choose between two exceptionally talented players, there is internal competition.

“You two need to decide,” said Raphael Varane and Harry Maguire.
