Kylian Mbappe’s Remarks on Jurgen Klopp: A Game-Changer for Liverpool’s Transfer Interest
Liverpool target Kylian Mbappe has made it clear that he is a big fan of Jurgen Klopp – and the Frenchman could finally play under the Reds chief if a deal can be agreed with PSG
Kylian Mbappe has previously made no secret of his admiration for Jurgen Klopp as Liverpool launch their latest attempt to sign the Paris Saint-Germain superstar.
Mbappe, 24, will be free to leave the French giants as a free agent next summer per the terms of the contract he signed last year. However, PSG are determined not to lose the Frenchman for nothing and are actively trying to sell him before September’s transfer deadline.
Although Real Madrid are favourites to win the race for Mbappe, Mirror Football exclusively revealed on Saturday that Liverpool are in negotiations over a loan deal with PSG.
The year-long agreement would see the French champions bank a fee for Mbappe’s services whilst also ensuring he would be free to wrap up a dream switch to the Bernabeu ahead of the 2024/25 campaign.
Liverpool’s latest attempt to sign Mbappe comes just over three years after the striker talked up Klopp and his team following their historic Premier League triumph.
Speaking back in 2020, Mbappe said: “This season, Liverpool have been a machine in the Premier League. They have made winning look easy but the truth is that it is never easy
“Performances, like they have been having, don’t just happen. To be as ruthless as they have been would come from lots of hard work in training and from having a very good manager.”
With PSG determined to raise at least some funds from offloading Mbappe this summer rather than losing him for free next year, Liverpool’s fresh attempts to lure the sought-after striker to Anfield could come to fruition.
