Manchester United

Man United is mocked by Copenhagen supporters with the chant “Roony, Roony” after 17-year-old Roony Bardghji wins the game for the Danish champions, cruelly turning the club legend chant on its head.

In the Champions League match versus Manchester United, Copenhagen supporters took advantage of the chance to transform a legendary Old Trafford song into a terrifying death knell.

The fans of Copenhagen knew just the right song to utter after their team defeated United 4-3, thanks to a goal from 17-year-old Roony Bardghji. “Roony, Roony.”

It brought back memories of the noises that English football fans grew accustomed to during Rooney’s devastating stint at United, where he amassed 253 goals.

The irony was not missed on the Danish supporters who watched United’s metaphorical fall from grace unfold in front of them: after leading 2-0, United lost due to two goals scored in the last moments.

Bardghji’s finish was superb; he swept in a strong left-footed goal past Andre Onana just before the ‘Roony, Roony’ jeers broke out in Parken Stadium.

Copenhagen secured a crucial three points at home thanks to a brilliant goal from Roony Bardghji.

Crowds mockingly yelled “Roony, Roony” as he doomed Man United to yet another defeat.

With ten goals this season, the 17-year-old prospect is one to keep an eye on in the future.

When Rooney scored a hat-trick against Fenerbache, he became United’s youngest-ever Champions League scorer. However, Roony of Copenhagen is now the youngest player to score against them in Europe’s top league.

His goal dropped United to the bottom of the Champions League group, and his age of 17 years and 358 days means he beats the previous record.

Given that Bardghji has already scored 15 goals in 57 games for the Danish champions, one imagines we will be seeing a lot more of him in the future. This is a fantastic record, especially considering his young age.

Erling Haaland began his career in Norway, where the standard of domestic football is comparable to that of Denmark, scoring 20 goals in his first 50 games.

With 23 appearances this season, Bardghji has already scored 10 goals, so keep an eye on him.
