Man Utd gets encouragement to pursue Valencia star Guerra.

According to the Italian website TuttoMercatoWeb, Manchester United has a significant advantage over Valencia in their pursuit of Javi Guerra, as the latter is willing to reduce his asking price in order to let go of the midfield player during the next transfer window.

Under Erik ten Hag’s direction, United had a successful season the previous year, but they decided to continue the rebuilding process last summer by strengthening several aspects of their squad.

Mason Mount and Sofyan Amrabat were signed, strengthening the engine room. Amrabat joined United on loan from Fiorentina, while Mount was acquired by United from Chelsea for a sum of £60 million.

The Moroccan midfielder is expected to return to Fiorentina at the end of current season, as Ten Hag has reportedly expressed dissatisfaction with the player’s performances. Nevertheless, neither of them has been able to provide United their greatest game to far.

Therefore, it seems that United has chosen to look into the market in order to buy a new option to bolster the engine room after being dissatisfied with their previous midfield acquisitions.

Guerra is apparently on their radar as well, despite the fact that Arthur Vermeeren, Andre Trindade, and Joao Neves are among the names that have recently been connected to a move to Old Trafford.

Man Utd to Guerra.

According to earlier reports, United must activate the £87 million release clause in the 20-year-old’s current contract in order to sign him.

Valencia is reportedly willing to reduce their asking price and may take a payment of at least £30 million, according to TuttoMercatoWeb. As a result, Man Utd’s pursuit of the midfield player has greatly increased.

The source also states that Juventus is eager to sign Guerra during the next transfer window, so it won’t be easy for the record Premier League winners to acquire him.

Guerra, who made his senior debut the previous season, has already made a name for himself in Valencia’s first squad this year. The young player can play the box-to-box role as well as deep-lying playmaker. He can play weaving passes between the lines, is technically competent, has an eye for long-range passing, and contributes effectively on defense.

At 6 feet 2 inches, the Spaniard is an extremely gifted player with the physical attributes needed to participate in a possession-based style of play. Therefore, if United is able to sign him for next season, it will be a wise move.

To strengthen their engine room, it will be intriguing to watch if Man Utd ultimately decides to take a more serious effort to signing him during the next transfer window.
