Man Utd is leading the chase to recruit a playmaker for £95 million – Source

Florian Wirtz and Manchester United have been connected for a while, and the most recent rumours in the media are intriguing.

We reported on a rumor (via Sport) back in October suggesting that the Red Devils might make a serious approach to sign the Bayer Leverkusen-based German international.

Transfer: Real intent: Man Utd is willing to pay £86 million to sign a player.

According to a more recent TEAMtalk story, Man Utd and Liverpool are leading the push to get the midfielder, who is anticipated to depart the Bundesliga’s top teams.

Wirtz, who is estimated to be worth £95 million, has a contract with the Bay Arena organization that expires in 2027.

The 20-year-old is one of the top playmakers in the Europe. He has made 18 appearances for Leverkusen so far this season, with 10 assists and 6 goals.

Bayer is leading the Bundesliga under the direction of Xabi Alonso, the legendary player from Anfield, and Wirtz is one of his key players.

The Premier League form of Manchester United’s attackers at Old Trafford has been dismal, and Erik ten Hag needs to turn things around offensively.

Being a flexible playmaker, Wirtz can operate well in both the wide and central attacking positions. He is capable of strengthening the Dutchman’s group.

According to the same source, Barcelona, Real Madrid, and Bayern Munich are also considering the 14-cap Kaiser.

Do you think Man Utd should offer £95 million to capture Florian Wirtz?
