Manchester United
Man Utd is leading the race to sign Ten Hag a “strong” player.
When it comes to hiring a foreign defender in January, the Red Devils are first in line.
According to a recent rumor, Manchester United is reportedly in the lead in the competition to add an international defender to the Premier League in January.
Man Utd’s current season.
The Red Devils had a mixed start to the new campaign, winning seven and losing five of their first twelve games. As a result, they are now sixth in the top flight standings while on international break.

Chiefs are aware that they can still add players to their roster to give the manager more choices, particularly in the backline, which has been lacking lately, even though Erik ten Hag’s team defeated Fulham and Luton Town back-to-back.
Although Real Sociedad center-back Robin Le Normand still has less than three years left on his contract, the Old Trafford team has set their sights on him. Since the summer transfer market closed, Le Normand has been a target for them.
The 27-year-old Spanish international has previously been the focus of a scouting tour by the hierarchy and Liverpool, but despite his interest from multiple clubs, it appears that he will most likely join M16 in January.
Man Utd leads Robin Le Normand in the lead.
Spanish rumors (via CaughtOffside) claim that Man United is the clear favorite to win Le Normand. Even though the defender is drawing interest from other teams like Arsenal, Newcastle United, and West Ham, the Red Devils are in the “strongest position” to sign him.
The Real Sociedad colossus’s contract includes a €60 million (£52 million) release clause; however, it is unclear if the club would be willing to pay this amount.
Le Normand might provide Ten Hag with a “strong footballer”.
Le Normand, who is six feet one inch tall, is a true physical presence at the center of Real Sociedad’s defense, averaging three aerial victories and 2.3 clearances per game in La Liga (WhoScored – Le Normand stats).
With 11 involvements, six assists, and five goals in 194 senior appearances at the Reale Arena, the Pabu native has proven to be a valuable asset on the other end of the field as well (Transfermarkt – Le Normand stats).
Ten Hag’s target will also have the winning attitude necessary to succeed because he has previously seen what it’s like to compete and accomplish at a high level, having won the Spanish Cup and the UEFA Nations League with Spain.
It would be a huge coup should Le Normand sign a contract at Old Trafford since, as journalist Josh Bunting has praised, he is a “strong footballer” who would undoubtedly tighten up the defense more than the manager’s current choices.
