Manchester United
Man Utd is prepared to accept an offer for the “brilliant” player and is aiming for a large sum.
Erik ten Hag is still assembling his Old Trafford club, thus the Red Devils may decide to let go of a star player.
According to a rumor, Manchester United may now part ways with one first-team player in January. They intend to recover a significant transfer fee for this player when the window reopens.
Man Utd’s room for improvement…
Erik ten Hag has undoubtedly faced his fair share of difficulties as Manchester United’s manager, having to battle fire both on and off the field at Old Trafford. Away from the action, England player Jadon Sancho has been living in exile since early September due to a public squabble with the Dutchman.
Meanwhile, an off-field inquiry has kept Brazilian winger Antony out of the starting lineup for some time, while the Red Devils faced criticism earlier in the season for how they handled situations surrounding contentious loanee Mason Greenwood.
The Red Devils have dropped five of their first twelve Premier League games. They are now five points behind Tottenham Hotspur in fourth place in the divisional rankings after seven wins, including four in their past five games. However, if the Red Devils are serious about making it to the Champions League in 2023–2024, they must make improvements.
Naturally, United is competing this year, but to put it mildly, they haven’t had the best of starts. With one win and three losses, they are currently bottom of Group A, which also includes Bayern Munich, Galatasaray, and Copenhagen.
This weekend’s games against Galatasaray, Newcastle United, and Chelsea might have a significant impact on the route the Red Devils take under Ten Hag. On Sunday, they take on Everton on the road at Goodison Park.
Looking ahead to January, the Dutch coach may decide to cut one player when the transfer window opens in order to further assemble his team.
Jadon Sancho up for sale
Manchester United is reportedly prepared to accept a bid for Sancho in January in order to strengthen their spending for prospective additions. They will also benefit from not having to pay his £250,000 weekly salary, according to Football Insider.
According to the article, Manchester United hopes to receive a sizable payment for his services, and a loan agreement or permanent departure are now expected to occur in the New Year. Along with his previous team, Borussia Dortmund, and a few Saudi Pro League teams, the 23-year-old has reportedly attracted the attention of Serie A powerhouse Juventus.
Sancho has had difficulty making an impact at Old Trafford despite being called a “brilliant footballer” by Manchester United manager Ten Hag earlier this year. In 82 appearances across all competitions, he has scored 12 goals and provided six assists for the Premier League’s top team (Sancho statistics – Transfermarkt).
Given that he is currently unemployed at Manchester United, it could be a good idea for both sides to end his stay there quickly in order to deflect criticism about his protracted absence from first-team activities.
