Man Utd is set to finalize the signing of a £305,000-per-week player, according to reports.

In the summer, Manchester United tried to strengthen their goalkeeping unit by recruiting Jan Oblak, but they ultimately succeeded in attracting Andre Onana.

Since leaving Inter Milan, the Cameroonian international has played very inconsistently for the Red Devils, and rumors suggest that United is after Oblak once more.

The Slovenian was persuaded to transfer to Old Trafford by United, but he ultimately decided to stay since Atletico Madrid was not persuaded by the offers, according to a Spanish source named Todo Fichajes.

Man Utd is determined to finally complete the dream purchase of Oblak, who may end up leaving the Rojiblancos, in light of Onana’s lackluster performances.

According to the news source, Julen Agirrezabala of Athletic Bilbao is the goalkeeper being considered to take the 30-year-old’s spot at the Wanda Metropolitano.

The former Benfica player, who is currently the best paid star at the Colchernos with an estimated weekly salary of £305,000, has a contract that expires in the summer of 2028.

One of the top goalkeepers in world football is Oblak. Among his 310 La Liga appearances to date, he has not one but 152 clean sheets (49%).

Maybe it’s time for a change of pace after nearly ten years of service to Atletico Madrid.

Man Utd made a huge error by starting Andre Onana in place of De Gea; they need a world-class player to turn things around in the goalkeeping department.

Do you think they should spend the big money to sign Jan Oblak?
