Man Utd set to bid in January for new Casemiro, “Hijacking Liverpool’s Interest” in Andre

Certain people are questioning Erik ten Hag’s status at Manchester United.

After less than two years at the club, Manchester United is reportedly planning a move in the January transfer window with the intention of replacing Casemiro. If the Red Devils manage to lure one of Jurgen Klopp’s rumored targets to Old Trafford next year, they might deal a blow to Liverpool in terms of transfers.

Since taking over as United’s manager in the summer of last year, Ten Hag has not been afraid to bring in new midfield players, adding five in three transfer windows.

Most recently, United spent £60 million to acquire Mason Mount from Chelsea over the summer, and then they signed Sofyan Amrabat to a season-long loan agreement worth £8.5 million.

Casemiro was one of Ten Hag’s first acquisitions in Manchester. He came from Real Madrid for a sum of £70 million, which many objected to considering he was just thirty years old.

Casemiro’s form has collapsed this season despite having a great debut season as a United player. It is said that Sir Jim Ratcliffe asked questions about the signing before he takes over as sporting director as early as next week.

The Saudi Pro League is reportedly interested in Casemiro, which has led to rumors that he would depart United the following summer.

Additionally, Ten Hag is allegedly keeping an eye on a possible substitute who has recently been highly linked to a move to the Premier League.

Football Transfers reports that United has made an approach for Andre, a midfielder for Fluminense who is anticipated to travel to Europe this winter from his native country.

According to the report, United has inquired about the 22-year-old with Fluminense along with a number of other Premier League teams, including Fulham.

Andre played a key role in the Brazilian giants’ victory over Boca Juniors 2-1 in the Copa Libertadores earlier this month.

They reportedly value him at between £26 and £35 million, but they haven’t gotten any firm offers yet.

Prior to the January transfer season, Liverpool has been reported as a potential suitor for Andre; however, United need not be concerned about their Anfield rivals being in the running.

According to the report, the Reds have moved on to other targets in order to bolster Klopp’s revamped midfield following a summer departure in that area.

It is said that Andre will take into account game time when selecting his next club, something United might find challenging to provide while Casemiro is still with the team.

To assist a transaction move forward in the new year, Ten Hag could reassure Andre that he is the 31-year-old’s long-term replacement.
