Manchester United

Man Utd’s starting lineup following the trade for Jadon Sancho might advance them to the Champions League.

The manager of Manchester United, Erik ten Hag, is expected to assemble a strong squad that can qualify for the Champions League with any transfers that occur during the forthcoming January transfer window.

Even though the Red Devils might not be too active, they are planning to make certain strategic signings, such as a trade that would see Jadon Sancho rejoin Borussia Dortmund.

United’s main goal is to qualify for the Champions League the next season. At the moment, the team is six points behind Manchester City in fourth place in the Premier League.

Even though United finished last in the group stage, things are made more difficult by the possibility of finishing in the top five in the Premier League.

United’s chief financial officer, John Murtough, has reaffirmed the team’s conservative spending plan for January—that is, unless player sales provide cash.

Here’s a sneak peek at how United might lineup after players recover fully and the January transfer window ends: Goalkeeper: Andre Onana is predicted to start at number one, and ten Hag has expressed faith in the £47 million acquisition, even if he plays in the Africa Cup of Nations. Defense: Boey, Varane, Martinez, Shaw: Galatasaray’s Sacha Boey could replace the uncertain right-back positions of Diogo Dalot and Aaron Wan-Bissaka. Lisandro Martinez’s comeback from injury could bolster the defense with Raphael Varane, and Luke Shaw is still the favorite at leftback.

Midfield: Casemiro, Mainoo, Fernandes: Ten Hag continues to prioritize Casemiro’s involvement, as the Brazilian is anticipated to be a key component of the team’s push for a top-four or top-five finish.

Kobbie Mainoo, a young talent, never ceases to amaze me with his maturity beyond his years. Though he has been criticized, captain Bruno Fernandes is expected to start at No. 10 and guide the midfield.

Dannyell Malen, a man connected to a possible Jadon Sancho trade, provides versatility and a goal-scoring threat. Hojlund, Rashford, and Malen round out the lineup.

If Marcus Rashford recovers to his previous season’s form, the offensive trio, coupled with young potential Rasmus Hojlund, could catapult United to a stronger position. United’s Potential Lineup after January: Onana; Boey, Varane, Martinez, Shaw; Casemiro, Mainoo; Rashford, Fernandes, Malen; Hojlund
