Manchester United gains an advantage in injuries as a Liverpool FC player addresses Andre Onana

Bruno Fernandes is among the many important players that Manchester United will be without for the crucial trip to Liverpool on Sunday.

The Reds captain, who was shown five yellow cards during the 7-0 thumping of Anfield in April, was criticized for his behavior and once extended an arm against a referee. As a result, he will not travel this time. Harry Maguire is not with United either.

While Anthony Martial is out of the game, the team’s best defender has taken a knock. Despite never scoring at Anfield, Marcus Rashford is returned from illness and was upbeat before the Merseyside away day.

In anticipation of this weekend’s pivotal trip to Liverpool, Rashford was seen being upbeat with his United teammates during training.

When Manchester United takes on bitter rivals Liverpool in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon at 4.30 p.m. at Anfield, Erik ten Hag will have to assemble his team from scratch.

Due to illness, injury, and suspension, United may be without 11 players for that game, Bruno Fernandes included. After receiving five yellow cards, the captain will be suspended for one game.

Ten Hag will therefore need to give the armband to another person. Though United is trying to grab one over their main competitors, not many people are vying for the top position given their selection problems.

Though Marcus Rashford and Luke Shaw are both eligible, it is anticipated that the former will start at the back, either in his customary left-hand position or centrally, and the latter, an England international, will fight for one of their attacking slots beside Antony or Alejandro Garnacho.
