Manchester United shatter British transfer record to welcome Premier League Star to Old Trafford — Negotiation Completed

Evan Ferguson, a forward for Brighton, is a huge fan of Manchester United’s, and it will take a British transfer record sum to bring him to Old Trafford.

Ferguson is a forward that United is still searching for, and the Manchester club’s management likes him.

The Ireland international would remain at the AMEX Stadium until 2029, though, since he inked a new deal last week.

Manchester United will keep an eye on him, but they will need to spend a significant amount of money if they choose to make a bid, according to Football Insider.

Brighton have placed a British-record fee on Ferguson following his 6-year contract extension, according to talkSPORT, which means that Man United will have to spend more than the £115 million Chelsea paid the Seagulls for Moises Caicedo in the summer to land their forward target.

According to the source, following his breakout season last season, Manchester United is one of many major Premier League and European clubs considering transfers for Ferguson in 2024.

The Republic of Ireland player scored his debut Premier League goal against Arsenal in December 2022 and has since scored 11 more times in the English top league.

The signing of the 19-year-old will be a significant coup for whoever gets him, as well as a big story because of his age.
