Manchester United supporters were relieved to see their star defender in training after a two-month absence.

After being out of action for two months, Lisandro Martinez’s return to the field at Carrington will delight Manchester United supporters.

The center back’s injury was officially diagnosed in late September following the aggravation of his metatarsal fracture, which had prematurely ended his 2022–2023 career. According to reports, Martinez had to take painkillers to get through the season’s first few games, but in the end, a second surgery was needed to fix the issue.

Last month, Erik ten Hag informed the media that Martinez and Casemiro—who is sidelined with a hamstring injury—were not anticipated to return to action until after Christmas.

The Argentine watched today as his teammates returned from the year’s last international break and started up again. As part of his ongoing recuperation, he attended an individual session.

Luke Shaw’s involvement at Carrington, meanwhile, has given United a major boost. After a protracted layoff, he may make his eagerly anticipated return against Everton on Sunday.
