Provided there is no last-minute drama, Rasmus Hojlund will officially become a Man United player later today.

Manchester United are due to announce the signing of Rasmus Hojlund prior to kick-off against Lens today.

United had planned to confirm Hojlund’s arrival in midweek but it was delayed after the 20-year-old travelled to London on Thursday for extensive examinations as part of his medical, which he completed later that day.

Hojlund arrived in Manchester later than planned on Tuesday afternoon but has already been to United’s Carrington training complex and is set to be paraded at Old Trafford today.

The Denmark international will become the third player to be unveiled before a home game in as many seasons after Raphael Varane and Casemiro were introduced to matchgoers ahead of the wins against Leeds United and Liverpool.

Hojlund flew into Manchester Airport at 4.15pm four days ago and it had been planned for him to meet some supporters and conduct activities around his signing on Wednesday, however that was cancelled and United focused on his medical.

United agreed a fee of £64m, plus £8m in add-ons, for Hojlund with Atalanta last Saturday, having suggested they would not pay more than £60m.
