Mauricio Pochettino, the manager of Chelsea, says he has no advice for Erik ten Hag regarding how to handle Man United’s situation and promises to be “respectful,” adding that it is not a good time to play the Red Devils despite their dismal performance.

Mauricio Pochettino, the manager of Chelsea, believes it would be inappropriate for him to give Erik ten Hag advise on how to handle the egos in the Manchester United locker room. As a result, he has no counsel for the Dutchman.

The best names in the game, including Lionel Messi, Neymar, and Kylian Mbappe, have been managed by Pochettino. However, in light of reports that Ten Hag is finding it difficult to manage United’s roster, Chelsea’s manager chose not to comment prior to their Wednesday night encounter at Old Trafford.

Pochettino responded, “No, no, no,” as Chelsea headed to United. “I am just a coach trying to do the best I can.” There is no one here to counsel my colleagues. It is not my responsibility to discuss events occurring elsewhere. I treat people with great respect. I have to treat another club with courtesy. It is not my place to discuss what is happening in other clubs.

Ten players will be out for Chelsea on Wednesday, including Christopher Nkunku. Conor Gallagher is suspended following his red card against Brighton.

“It is an amazing place (Old Trafford),” Pochettino said when asked if now was a good time to play United. It’s not a good time to travel there, in my opinion. We’re going to play against a team that is competitive and will play hard. We must go there and prevail.

Erik ten Hag’s opinion on how to resolve the situation at Manchester United has not been shared by Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino.

Despite Man United’s struggles this season—six Premier League losses so far—Peter Pochettino anticipates a “tough” match at Old Trafford.

“I have my club as my primary focus right now.” We are creating something that we think will be fantastic for the club’s future little by little, step by step. I would never, ever compare myself to another club because it would be unfair.

Pochettino continued, saying of Ten Hag, “He is an amazing coach.” We played Ajax in the Champions League semi-final when I was at Tottenham. He is an excellent manager and coach.

This will be Pochettino’s first encounter with Ten Hag since Spurs’ historic 3-2 victory that guaranteed them a berth in the 2019 Champions League final.

When asked if he was happy that he took over at Chelsea rather than United—having been considered for the position prior to Erik ten Hag taking over in 2022—Pochettino again declined to comment.

When Spurs and Ajax squared off in the Champions League in 2019, Pochettino, who had never faced Ten Hag before, declined to say whether he was relieved that he had passed on the United position the previous year.

I’m not going to discuss that. You chuckle, but you attempt to get me to talk too much; I don’t want to say something I shouldn’t. I’m not the right person to discuss what goes on in various clubs. Here, in this project, I am content. We have a lot on our plate and need to get better as well.

Here, we are creating something, and our entire attention is on working together to grow and develop the product we want. My goal is to try to complete the work.

Ten Hag, however, emphasized that he still had the support of his players in spite of worries about a rebellion within the United camp.

Yeah, I’m sure, he replied. However, as evidenced by the team’s heroics in the games against Brentford, Burnley, and Fulham, they consistently displayed remarkable character.

We are united because of our strong resolve and resilience. And as you can see, without unity, it’s impossible to play football as well as we have recently.
