Not Rashford or Bruno: Barcelona and PSG compete for the 26-year-old Manchester United player, whose market value is €70 million.

According to a report from Spanish publication Fichajes, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) and Barcelona are expected to engage in a fierce competition for the signing of 26-year-old Marcus Rashford of Manchester United next year.

Once thought to be one of England’s brightest young players, Marcus Rashford has had a turbulent ride since making his Manchester United debut in the 2015–16 campaign.

Rashford’s performance has declined this season despite being a key attacker the previous one, helping the team win the EFL Cup and place in the top four of the Premier League.

Given his market worth of €70 million and his meager stats of two goals and four assists in 21 appearances, his future at Manchester United is now in doubt.

Due to the uncertainty surrounding Raphinha and Ferran Torres, Barcelona is keen on Rashford’s skills and has reportedly disputed the Blaugrana’s interest in a Raphinha exchange deal.

In the meantime, PSG, which is struggling with the play of Bradley Barcola and Ousmane Dembele as well as the future of contract-bound Kylian Mbappe, is considering Rashford as a possible addition for the summer transfer window of 2024.

Juventus has entered the competition to sign Rashford, joining PSG and Barcelona. The claim that Rashford’s future at Manchester United is uncertain, meanwhile, could not be well-founded.

So, it will be clear in the coming months whether Rashford moves to one of these European powerhouses.
