One player should start against Newcastle, according to Man Utd supporters, after being benched for the draw with Galatasaray.

Erik ten Hag is under pressure from Manchester United supporters to start one player against Newcastle who was benched for the team’s 3–3 draw with Galatasaray.

Andre Onana had a forgettable evening as United threw away a 3-1 lead in Istanbul, leaving their hopes of qualifying for the Champions League in shambles.

United has only gained one point away from home in the Champions League, despite scoring three goals in each of their away games during the group stage.

With just four points from five games, they are bottom of group A and have the fewest points of any English team participating in European competition.

United supporters agree on who should start their upcoming encounter against Newcastle on Saturday following their disappointing performance in Turkey.

Sofyan Amrabat was benched in favor of Kobbie Mainoo, but the 18-year-old impressed supporters with another calm display when he came on early in the second half.

Supporters, who are itching to see more of the English talent, have vented their annoyance on social media.

“On Saturday, Mainoo must get the start against Newcastle. One fan remarked, “He ought to receive a run of games.

To which someone else remarked, “Wanna see the partnership of Mainoo x Amrabat.”

“He showed against Everton and Galatasaray that he can perform in tough away grounds,” penned a third fan.

Last weekend, Mainoo made his Premier League debut in its entirety against Everton. Alejandro Garnacho’s bicycle-kick goal kept him from winning “Player of the Match.”

While playing Everton, Kobbie Mainoo was exceptional.

United must get over their Champions League setback and resume their winning ways in the league, where they have won five of their previous six games, when they visit St. James’ Park on Saturday night.

Newcastle, who gave up a contentious equalizer in the 98th minute in Paris, will also be looking to recover from their midweek slump.

This season, Newcastle and Man United have already faced off, with Newcastle winning the League Cup 3-0 at Old Trafford.

This time around, though, Ten Hag will have Mainoo available for selection, and United supporters will be hoping he makes a difference.
