Paul Scholes thinks the 24-year-old Manchester United player isn’t prepared for important matches.

Paul Scholes, a Manchester United star, questioned Diogo Dalot’s ability to handle pressure during crucial moments of a game.

Paul Scholes, a stalwart of Manchester United, questions Diogo Dalot’s ability to remain composed under pressure during a crucial match. Scholes went on to say that the team’s balance is off because the right-back is underdeveloped.

Due to injuries at left-back, Dalot has played at both flanks for the Red Devils this season. The 24-year-old received harsh criticism from numerous football analysts for FC Copenhagen’s third goal in the away Champions League Group A match.

United is now ranked last in Group A of the Champions League after losing to Copenhagen 4–3. Copenhagen got the equalizer in the 83rd minute, cutting the 10-man Red Devils’ lead to 3-2 midway through the second half.

Diogo Dalot, the fullback for Manchester United, made a crucial mistake that allowed FC Copenhagen to rally and defeat United 4-3.

Lukas Lerager’s finish from a cross by the Dutch side caught Dalot off guard and tied the score at three points. Due to Dalot’s crucial mistake, United may be eliminated from the Champions League before it even gets to the knockout round.

Scholes questioned Dalot’s capacity for success in pivotal moments. Says he:

“I’m not sure [Diogo] Dalot, the right-back, is good enough for the important games. His character may not be strong enough to handle the major games, in my opinion. It’s not an issue for [Aaron] Wan-Bissaka to play it defensively. Moving ahead. Do not misunderstand; he has made progress. I simply believe that the team’s balance has been a little off.

United has lost nine of its 18 games in all competitions, indicating a lack of cohesiveness and balance. The Red Devils’ defense is incredibly vulnerable, as evidenced by the 30 goals they have given up.

However, the injury issue made it difficult for United manager Erik ten Hag to select players. Prior to the November international break, Ten Hag had used a strict 4-2-4 formation in United’s last two games. The configuration allows the fullbacks to focus more on their defensive responsibilities than covering wide attackers.

Diogo Dalot, a right-back in the #MUFC, is not injured. informed that he has pulled out of the Portugal team since he and his partner are due to have a baby in the coming days.

Dalot will be accessible frequently during the next games.

When the United manager assumed control of the team the previous season, he selected Dalot as his first-choice right-back. However, Aaron Wan-Bissaka managed to reintegrate into the starting lineup and take over as the starting right-back. The offensive approach that United is anticipated to play is hampered by the limited offensive talents of both right backs.
