Pundit makes big claim – Spurs star is ‘one of the best players in the world’
Jamie O’Hara, a former Tottenham player, has showered Heung-min Son with praise as he continues to amaze this season, calling him “one of the best” in international football at the moment.
As the 31-year-old continues to lead Tottenham’s line this season, it appears that we have the old Heung-min Son back once more.
With Harry Kane’s departure, Son has been expected to lead Spurs’ attack under Ange Postecoglou, not only by scoring goals but also by taking charge of the team as the new captain of the club.
With another goal in the most recent victory over Fulham, Son now has seven goals this season (Transfermarkt). He has thrived under this greater responsibility.
It’s a far cry from the Son we saw last season, who struggled for form and confidence and was suffering from an injury for most of the year.

Is Heung-min Son among the world’s finest?
In an interview with Sky Sports’ Football Daily, O’Hara asserted that Son is currently among the best players in the world and mentioned that James Maddison might be essential to the Spurs captain’s success this season.
“Son is one of the best players in the world of football,” he declared. It is undeniable that he is a top-tier player who has been contributing goals to the Premier League for a very long period. He has regained his self-assurance and faith, and in my opinion, he is a terrific number nine.
“Scoring 30 goals is a lot of goals, but why not? [to replace Kane]? He’s ablaze. He is playing every single week. He has enabled Son to stay high and go on top of things if he stays in shape, especially with Maddison on the side, who is fun to watch. What he’s done [since joining] is amazing.

Son played out wide for a club that had Harry Kane to feed during the 2021–2022 season, and he scored 24 goals. He is now the main man, he is playing brilliantly, and he has a good chance of scoring thirty goals this season.
