Scholes advises Ten Hag to start the Manchester United player in games because he feels danger

Paul Scholes, the icon of Manchester United, has pushed Erik ten Hag, the team’s manager, to start rookie Kobbie Mainoo in the Red Devils’ upcoming games.

Scholes insists that Mainoo senses danger and feels he might be the key to giving United more stability.

Remember that following a brilliant performance against Everton the previous Saturday, Mainoo was benched in favor of the more seasoned Sofyan Amrabat against Galatasaray?

Scholes, though, thinks the 18-year-old midfielder should be given the opportunity to start because he has the answer to resolving Man United’s defensive problems.

“It is common sense to bring in players around [the centre-backs] so they stop getting exposed as they are doing,” Scholes told TNT Sports.

“[Kobbie] Mainoo needs a run of games, but I think he could be a huge asset to this club.

“He appears to be a player who can defend his back four, but he also has the ability to grab the ball, receive it, and launch assaults, all of which are crucial skills.

“I believe he feels danger, and based on what we say on Sunday at Everton, I believe this is the right time to deliver this lad a chance “.
