Sofyan Amrabat, rather than McTominay, is chosen Man of the Match against Chelsea and discusses his “difficult start” at Manchester United.

Following Manchester United’s 2-1 victory over Chelsea on Wednesday, Sofyan Amrabat expressed his thoughts on his difficult start to the club.

The midfielder called his start at United “difficult,” having joined on a season-long loan from Fiorentina in a last-minute deal during the summer transfer window.

A €10 million payment was made to Fiorentina as part of the loan arrangement, and United had the opportunity to pay an extra €5 million in add-ons and win a permanent contract for €20 million.

The 27-year-old has been in and out of the starting lineup since his arrival, but against Chelsea, he won a position and gave one of his best performances since wearing a United jersey.

Amrabat admitted the difficulties of his first few months at the team in an interview with MUTV following the win, but he underlined that he was unwilling to offer explanations for his inconsistent early career.
