Manchester United

Thursday morning deal; player’s medicals have already been planned, and shirt number is verified. Man United and Trent Alexander Arnold have struck a basic understanding to sign a player valued at £40 million next week

According to sources, Manchester United can “move forward” to recruit Sporting CP’s Viktor Gyokeres in an effort to bolster their hitting unit.

The Lions want to keep the player around until the end of the season in order to increase their chances of winning the championship, according to a report that was published by Correio da Manha yesterday.

The contract of the Swedish center striker includes a release clause worth £86.8 million (100 million euros), and Premier League clubs are keen to sign him.

Manchester United, Arsenal, and Chelsea, among others, can’move forward’ and pay the £86.8 million clause to secure his acquisition, according to CM Jornal.

Gyokeres earns about 45,000 euros a week, making him one of the club’s highest paid players already.

To make sure the 25-year-old stays until the conclusion of the season, Sporting is prepared to give him a prize. He will not be permitted to depart in January until the £86.8 million valuation is fulfilled.

Gyokeres has scored ten goals in 13 league games for the Lions this season. He has made 19 starts across all competitions and personally assisted in no fewer than 25 goals (17 goals and 8 assists).

Erik ten Hag has failed to replace elite goal scorers like Cavani and Ronaldo at Old Trafford. Hojlund, the Red Devils’ high-profile summer acquisition, has only managed one goal in 15 Premier League games.

Do you think Man Utd should have paid £86.8m to buy Viktor Gyokeres in January?
