Tom Huddlestone’s inclusion in training means Manchester United will receive a boost in their midfield.

Tom Huddlestone was drafted into first team training, so by the end of the month, Erik ten Hag should have a more complete Man United midfield to pick from.

On Saturday against West Ham, Christian Eriksen is expected to make his Manchester United squad comeback after a six-week absence.

Eriksen suffered a knee injury during the 1-0 victory over Luton Town on November 11 and made his way back to team practice this week.

Due to United’s extreme midfield shortage, Under-23 player-coach Tom Huddlestone, a seasoned veteran, was called up to the main squad for practice on Monday.

Sofyan Amrabat, Kobbie Mainoo, and Scott McTominay were not present during the rehabilitation session for the United players who started against Liverpool in the goalless draw on Sunday.

In the upcoming weeks, United should have a more complete midfield due to Casemiro’s acceleration of his hamstring injury rehabilitation. The last ten games have been missed by the Brazilian.
