UEFA Statement Revealed – UEFA President making amends to Man United as He releases his statement on Michael Oliver officiating

Diogo Dalot had an unusual and quick exit from the pitch in the final seconds of Manchester United’s 0-0 draw with Liverpool after being given two yellow cards for dissent in a span of two seconds.

As the game was coming to an end, the strange event started when the Portuguese right-back showed shock at Liverpool being given a throw-in in an attacking position.

The 24-year-old Dalot violently waved his arms in protest and expressed his disapproval of referee Michael Oliver’s ruling.

Dalot continued to protest as the referee waved the yellow card, which resulted in a second infraction and, finally, a red card, ending his day before his teammates on the pitch.

The highlight of an otherwise dull game came at the 94th minute of drama. Former United striker Dion Dublin said on BBC Radio 5 Live,

He was enraged beyond belief. He continued to respond even though he was correct—it was a Man United toss. What a joke—two cards in less than two seconds!

Fortunately for United, Dalot’s dismissal did not imperil the hard-won point. Liverpool put on a mediocre show even though they were the clear favourites. Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold
