United States targets £52 million. ‘Replacement’ rumors for Raphael Varane and other transfer rumors

The most recent rumors about transfers from Old Trafford, involving Goncalo Inacio and Roony Bardghji.

According to sources, Manchester United is prepared to exercise Goncalo Inacio’s £52 million release clause in order to find a longer-term replacement for Raphael Varane.

Archrivals Liverpool are rumored to be interested in signing Inacio, who has been continuously linked to a move to the Premier League. The 22-year-old is a Sporting Lisbon defender.

According to reports from the Portuguese publication Correio da Manha, United is reportedly considering triggering Inacio’s release clause next summer. Meanwhile, Varane is expected to leave Old Trafford, as Saudi Arabian teams are rumored to be keeping an eye on his availability and circumstances.

Since advancing through Sporting’s Academy system, Inacio has appeared in 138 games across all competitions for the team. He has also earned two senior Portugal caps, scoring twice in their first outings.

The center back’s contract has a proposed £52 million release clause and runs until 2027. It’s known that Inacio is being watched by United, Liverpool, and a number of other elite European teams this season.

In other news, The Sun has reported that Sir Jim Ratcliffe may be considering a move for FC Copenhagen prospect Roony Bardghi, following his thrilling Wednesday night success for the Danes over United. At Parken Stadium, the 17-year-old resolved the score in their Champions League match.

But according to that article, Sir Jim and his hiring team are more interested in the midfield player for OGC Nice than they are in United right now. Bardghji, a Sweden U21 international, is believed to be wanted by multiple clubs in Germany, France, Spain, and other parts of Europe.
