Manchester United

With twelve goals, a major Bundesliga team joins the competition for a Man United star.

A new Bundesliga team has entered the fight for Man United winger Jadon Sancho, whose future is still up in the air going into the January transfer window.

The 23-year-old will be leaving Old Trafford in January after a falling out with Erik ten Hag in the first few games of the season. After the Dutch coach said he left the winger out of the starting lineup for Man United’s September loss to Arsenal because he didn’t match training standards, the player effectively dubbed his manager a liar.

Since then, Sancho has been excluded from the first team and multiple clubs have been monitoring his status. This is because he refused to apologize for his remarks.

One of them was the Englishman’s last team, Borussia Dortmund, and according to Christian Falk, RB Leipzig, another Bundesliga team, is also considering the winger.

Given that Dortmund is a place that Sancho is familiar with, it is very possible that the winger will choose to return there if given the option. But it’s unclear if the Bundesliga team is formally interested in signing their former player, so the 23-year-old could have to try something different.

Falk claims that the €20 million salary of the Man United star is an issue, meaning that the winger with 12 goals for the team has a long way to go before he leaves Old Trafford.
